What is the best way to maintain my garage door?

Use of a high quality lubricant can be enough to maintain your door. Keep in mind that it should only be used on specific parts such as the hinges, and that you need to do this at least once a year.

How do I deal with my track if it has been twisted?

Is it safe to allow my kids to operate the garage door?

No. Our experts strongly advise against this. While automatic garage doors can typically be operated with a push of a button, there could be unexpected malfunctions that may lead to accidents. Children love playing around the house, but the garage is one place you should never let them play unattended.

Why is my garage floor wet even when the door is down?

The most probably culprit is your weather-stripping. You can check to see if the weather stripping is intact. If it's a little old, it may already be brittle and cracked thereby providing little protection from a heavy rain. If you have sectional doors, you can also check to see if the spaces between doors are impervious to water.
